Well this book is not as depressing as the last Jodi Picoult book I read, My Sister's Keeper. And, I'm glad. I think Picoult is an excellent writer and I really enjoyed the characters in both books. I liked this book because it describes a journey, literally and figuratively through each character. I also identified with a few of the characters and I appreciated the idea of not knowing who you are as an adult and that it takes specific self discovery to find yourself again. I would recommend this book for the characters alone, but unlike some character driven novels the ending is not disappointing. It's natural and it fits the entirety of the book.
